A Custom Consultation is your opportunity to explore the possibilities of a Charmed by Moberly original piece. This consult gives you the space to work directly with our jeweler, Matt and plan your perfect custom piece. This session is fully focused on you—no pressure, no cost.
We offer two avenues for custom creations: original design from scratch or redesign using heirloom jewelry.
Charmed Original: This is where we help you bring to life something totally new and custom using carefully sourced new materials, designed in the CBM style. This is perfect for you if you're looking to bring a vision of your perfect piece to life for yourself or someone else, or if you've seen a CBM piece you love and want to recreate it making some tweaks.
Charmed Restyle: Let's repurpose your heirloom pieces to make something more suited for you in the CBM style. We will discuss in your consultation if and how we can use meaningful stones/metals you own, mixed with some new, to make something feel more YOU.
Please Note: Our current turnaround time on custom work is 4-6 weeks.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. Book your appointment online:
-
Online booking is available up to 24 hours in advance and as far out as 30 days.
-
We are by appointment only. Occasionally, we may accommodate walk-ins/last-minute bookings. If you’d like a last-minute session, please text: 843-461-6430.
-
Each 20-minute appointment is for one person to discuss 1-2 original designs. If you have more than 2 projects you'd like to discuss, please book two back to back appointments.
- Consultations are in-person at our jewelry studio in Pawleys Island. If you are not local we can also take consultations for new original work only via FaceTime or Zoom. We are unable to offer restyle design without seeing heirloom pieces in person first.
2. Appointment day expectations & final proposals:
-
Please arrive on time for your session and bring any pieces for restyle, ideas/inspiration, and have a budget in mind.
-
We will spend this time together discussing possibilities and goals. Budget will be discussed but your final proposal and timeline will be delivered to you via email or text within 2-3 business days.
- We do not intake any stones/metals for restyle projects until the proposal has been agreed upon and signed. Once that has been complete we will schedule a separate time to intake all heirloom materials and discuss payment terms. We require a 50% deposit before beginning the project and 50% upon completion.
PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING.
OUR POLICIES:
REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS: This is a complimentary consultation; no deposit is required. There is no obligation to proceed, but we do ask for serious inquiries only.
You will not be prompted to make any payments until you have received a written proposal. Please note that once a proposal has been signed and deposit has been made, we do not offer refunds or cancellations under any circumstances.
CBM MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS: It is important to note that for our custom original work we only work in precious metals and semi-precious/precious stones to ensure a quality, long-lasting final product.
-
If there is uncertainty about a stone, CBM may request to have a certified gemologist inspect and confirm before proceeding with a project.
-
If there is uncertainty about a metal, CBM may request to test the metal at our off-site workshop before proceeding with a project.
-
We do not recreate or replicate other jewelry designs. Part of why you choose us should be because you have seen our work and love our style. Our work is handmade. We aim to limit pre-fabricated elements as much as reasonable. We aim to provide jewelry that is carved, cast, fabricated and forged by hand as much as possible.
-
We work in primarily sterling silver and 14-18k gold but are happy to discuss projects in other gold colors and platinum.
-
For restyle projects, it's important to understand that melting and reusing certain metals may have some limitations so we may discuss alternatives. Our goal is to create a project that is beautiful and sustainable for the next generation.
