Our Story

Meet the Moberlys:

Matt & Maggie Moberly, the husband-and-wife team behind Charmed by Moberly.

Matt is a trained metalsmith who began his career in Pawleys Island, SC apprenticing under two master jewelers and honing his skills in fine jewelry design, fabrication, and repair. His passion for craftsmanship, paired with an artist’s eye for detail, laid the foundation for what Charmed by Moberly would become. His background and education in English and Philosophy brings a sense of purpose and story-telling to his craft.

Maggie is the behind-the-scenes force who keeps everything running smoothly. With a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles, she brings a deep understanding of design, style, and presentation to the studio. She handles the details—from concept to customer experience—ensuring each piece not only looks beautiful but tells a story.

Charmed by Moberly is the vision that fuses Matt’s artistry with Maggie’s eye for design. Its concept began when Matt & Maggie got engaged and were looking for rings that didn't fit the typical bride and groom mold. The journey of searching for the perfect rings led them to fall in love with vintage and handmade jewelry with character and well, charm. That character and charm is what they love about great jewelry and what they strive for in customer experience in their business.

(The rings that started it all)

At Charmed by Moberly, every original piece is made start to finish in their Fayette County workshop. They work in primarily sterling silver and solid 14k gold, casting each piece in-house and hand-finishing it with care. Whether it’s an everyday piece, a custom design, or a permanent jewelry experience-- Matt & Maggie pour their heart, skill, and story into every creation.

Their mission is simple: to craft jewelry that feels personal, lasting, and deeply connected to the people who wear it.

When they aren't making jewelry, Maggie & Matt keep busy on their family farm with their 5 dogs, horse, and pet turtle.
